
We are aware of an incident that occurred on Thursday (1/12) afternoon at CES at approximately 2:15 pm. The incident involves the health matters of an individual student that are currently being addressed. First responders and appropriate medical personnel are already working diligently to properly support the student in need. There are currently no other concerns for students or staff at this time. We appreciate your patience as we work through responding to this situation. Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Many thanks are extended to the first responders and medical community for their service and support.

USD 413-Chanute Public Schools will experience a two-hour delay on Thursday, January 12th, 2023. All schools in the district will open two hours later than their usual start time.
Breakfast will not be served and AM Pre-K services are canceled.
All transportation will still be provided and busses can be expected to arrive two hours later than their usual arrival time.
Dismissal times and end-of-day transportation will still occur as normal.

A quick reminder regarding our earlier dismissal times for tomorrow, December 16th. Believe it or not, it is the last day of the first semester! We appreciate everyone's flexibility with this change to our normal schedule.
