CHS Athletic Director releases spectator guidelines for ticketed events amidst COVID 19

With all school buildings in the “green” so far this week, ticketed events for sports and activities remain scheduled and spectators will be allowed. That can change, and will , depending on the student absentee numbers related to the average daily attendance rate, the percent of COVID cases and trend in the county and the availability of hospital beds in the area. The following guidelines have been developed for anyone who plans to attend any of the athletic events or activities held in a Chanute Public School building or factility.

This criteria is the list of “Non-Negotiables” for EVERY event in EVERY school building in the 413 School District:

  • Spectators will be required to wear a mask to enter a facility and continue to wear the mask for the duration of the event.
  • Spectators will be required to have their temperatures taken before entry.

  • Spectators will be asked to follow social distancing.
