School board holds special meetings for superintendent interviews

The USD 413 Board of Education will hold consecutive meetings this week to interveiw three potential condidates for Superintendent of Schools. Steve Parsons, a former superintendent for Chanute Public Schools, is currently serving as the interim Superintendent through this school year.

Dinner with the candidates will take place at 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 14-16.  On Monday they will meet at The Gathering Place, 33 W. Main. On Tuesday and Wednesday they will meet at the Oak Room at Neosho County Community College.

Following dinner, the school board will recess to the Board of Education office at 315 Chanute 35 Parkway.  The interviews will take place in closed executive session.

Action, if any, will take place when they reconvene in open session.
