Hard to believe the school year is half over. A lot of the students wanted the website to elf yourself. It is: http://www.elfyourself.com/ For the second semester Kindergarten and First graders will continue to use learning games to reinforce what they have been learning in the classroom. Second grade will learn the jingles to all three rows of the keyboard and play typing games to help them learn where the letters are. Our fingers are not quite ready for the full typing technique, but we will practice putting fingers on home row. Third grade will begin Type to Learn. They will concentrate on using correct finger placement and typing technique. Fourth grade will continue with Type to Learn and start doing some Microsoft Word exercises. Fifth grade will continue with Word exercises and typing skills.
