FACS=Family and Consumer Science
The FACS class is offered to 6th,7th and 8th grade students for 9 weeks. The class offering is mandatory for 6th and 7th grade students. For 8th grade students, the class is offered as an elective.
Class Description
The Family and Consumer Science Class is a foundation course designed to assist students in developing the core knowledge and skills needed to manage their lives. Emphasis is on leadership, personal grooming, family education, consumer skills, nutrition and foods. Skills in decision making, problem solving, critical thinking, and workplace readiness are reinforced in this class.
