Tardy Policy:

The prompt and timely presence of students in the classroom at the time classes begin is an important factor in the learning process of each individual student and the other students in the class. Student tardiness is a disrupting factor for the class and the teacher. Parents and students are responsible for arriving on time.

Students are to report to the office if they are tardy to school. The office will either excuse or not excuse the tardiness. Tardies will only be excused when they are due to official school business and authorized by school personnel, or when icy road conditions may legitimately cause people to run late. If a student wants the tardy excused, he/she must have a note or a parent must call giving a reason, which is acceptable. Each building within the district will enforce a tardy policy, which will be contained within the student handbook of that building.
